BioGuard Aquality 750g – Spa pH & Alkalinity Decreaser

BioGuard Aquality is a spa pH and Total Alkalinity decreaser designed to gradually lower high readings and restore correctly balanced spa water.

High pH and alkalinity can contribute to cloudy water, scale formation and reduced sanitiser efficiency, making regular water testing and adjustment important.

Why Use BioGuard Aquality?

BioGuard Aquality:

• Lowers high spa pH

When Should I Use Aquality?

Use BioGuard Aquality when testing shows that your spa water has:

• High pH
• High Total Alkalinity
• Or both

BioGuard recommends keeping spa pH around 7.4–7.6 and Total Alkalinity around 80–150 ppm.

If pH rises above the recommended range, scale can begin forming and sanitiser performance can become less effective.

What Problems Can High pH Cause?

High spa pH can contribute to:

• Cloudy or dull-looking water
• Scale formation on equipment and surfaces
• Reduced sanitiser effectiveness
• Dirty or scaled filters
• Less comfortable water

Aquality gradually lowers the pH to help restore the correct balance.

What About High Total Alkalinity?

Total Alkalinity helps stabilise pH, but when it becomes too high it can make pH difficult to lower and increase the risk of scale and cloudy water.

BioGuard Aquality can also be used to reduce high Total Alkalinity.

Always test the water between adjustments rather than adding large amounts at once.

High or Low pH?

Use the correct product for your test result:

• High pH / high alkalinity → BioGuard Aquality
• Low pH → BioGuard Comfort Up
• Low Total Alkalinity → BioGuard Performance Up

Testing first prevents unnecessary chemical additions and makes water balancing much easier.

How Much Aquality Should I Add?

The amount required depends on:

• Spa water volume
• Current pH
• Current Total Alkalinity
• Desired adjustment

Always follow the dosage instructions on the product label and make changes gradually.

Circulate the water after treatment and retest before making further adjustments.
