BioGuard Performance Up is a spa Total Alkalinity increaser designed to raise low alkalinity and help keep spa water chemistry more stable.

Correct Total Alkalinity helps buffer the water against rapid pH changes, making it easier to maintain balanced and comfortable spa water.

Why Is Total Alkalinity Important?

Total Alkalinity acts as a buffer for pH.

When alkalinity is too low, pH can become unstable and move up and down quickly, sometimes referred to as pH bounce.

When Should I Use Performance Up?

Use BioGuard Performance Up when a water test shows that your Total Alkalinity is below the recommended range.

Always test the water before dosing and adjust according to your spa volume and current reading.

Adjust Alkalinity Before pH

If both alkalinity and pH require adjustment, correct Total Alkalinity first.

Once alkalinity is within range, retest the water before adjusting pH.

For low pH, use BioGuard Comfort Up.

For high pH or high alkalinity, use BioGuard Aquality as directed.

How Much Performance Up Should I Add?

The amount required depends on:

• Spa water volume
• Current Total Alkalinity
• Desired alkalinity increase
