Both are substantial one-metre circular fire features powered by EcoSmart's AB8 burner. Their shape is what separates them.

WHEN THE FIRE IS OFF

EcoSmart's optional R20 Cover Plate can be fitted over the burner opening once the fire is completely off and cool, creating a flatter usable surface through the centre.

Is Ark 40 a complete fire table?
Yes. Ark 40 is a complete freestanding circular fire table rather than a drop-in fire pit kit.
What is the difference between Ark 40 and Pod 40?
Both are one metre across and use the AB8 burner. Ark 40 is much lower at 339mm high and has a broad coffee-table-style circular ledge. Pod 40 is 504mm high with deeper pottery-inspired bowl proportions.
Can I put drinks on the Ark 40?
Ark 40 has a broad ledge around the central burner specifically suited to placing items such as a drink. Always maintain safe separation from the operating flame and follow EcoSmart's instructions.
Does Ark 40 need a gas connection?
The bioethanol Ark 40 does not require a permanent gas connection or electrical supply. Its AB8 burner is manually fuelled with compatible bioethanol.
Can Ark 40 be used indoors?
EcoSmart lists the bioethanol Ark 40 for indoor or outdoor use. Indoor operation requires the applicable safety components and compliance with EcoSmart's minimum room-size, clearance and installation requirements.
Is the glass fire screen included?
No. EcoSmart currently lists the R530 and R400 Fire Screens as optional accessories.
Can I cover the burner opening?
Yes. EcoSmart offers the optional R20 Cover Plate, which fits over the burner opening once the fire is completely off and cool.
