It doesn't look like everyone else's fire pit.
Stix takes its inspiration from the simple geometry of stacked timber around a traditional campfire, then strips the idea back into something distinctly modern.
The vertical stainless-steel forms frame the flame rather than hiding it, creating a fire that looks every bit as interesting when viewed from across the entertaining area as it does when you're sitting beside it.
Fire doesn't have to be built into the ground.
Stix gives you the presence of a real outdoor fire without designing your entire entertaining area around a permanent fireplace.
No fixed utility connection.
Bioethanol operation means Stix doesn't need a permanent gas line or electrical connection to create its flame.

Inside Stix sits EcoSmart's AB3 bioethanol burner, producing an open flame without relying on a fixed gas connection or traditional wood-burning setup.

Stix was created by Barcelona-based designer Hiroshi Tsunoda, using varying tubular forms to reinterpret one of the oldest gathering places we know — the campfire.
The result is unmistakably contemporary while still preserving the reason people have always been drawn to fire: flame, warmth and somewhere to gather.
Stix received the 2011 DesignEx Best New Product award in Australia and the 2011 IIDA/HD Award for Excellence in the USA.

Stix rises to 780mm while occupying a footprint of only around 557 × 556mm.
That tall vertical shape gives it visual presence without consuming the amount of floor space you'd expect from a conventional fire pit or fire table.
