BioGuard Balance Pak 100 is a swim spa Total Alkalinity increaser designed to raise low alkalinity and help stabilise your swim spa's pH.

Correct Total Alkalinity acts as a buffer against rapid pH changes caused by factors such as rain, swimmer load and chemical additions, making your pool water easier to balance and maintain.

What Is Total Alkalinity?

Total Alkalinity measures the water's ability to resist sudden changes in pH.

When alkalinity is too low, your pool's pH can rise and fall quickly, making the water difficult to keep balanced.

This unstable behaviour is often referred to as pH bounce.

Balance Alkalinity Before Adjusting pH

When balancing pool water, Total Alkalinity should generally be corrected before pH.

Once the alkalinity is within the appropriate range, retest the water and then make any required pH adjustment.

If your pH is low, use BioGuard Balance Pak 200.

If your pH or Total Alkalinity is too high, use BioGuard Lo'N'Slo as directed.

What's in Balance Pak 100?

BioGuard Balance Pak 100 contains:

1000g/kg sodium hydrogen carbonate (sodium bicarbonate).

It is formulated specifically for increasing Total Alkalinity in swimming pool water.

How Much Balance Pak 100 Should I Add?

The amount required depends on:

• Pool volume
• Current Total Alkalinity
• Desired alkalinity increase

Always test your water before dosing and follow the directions on the product label.
