BioGuard Balance Pak 200 is a pool pH increaser designed to raise low pH and help restore correctly balanced swimming pool water.

Low pH makes pool water more acidic and can contribute to corrosion, surface damage, eye irritation and premature wear of pool equipment.

What Happens When Pool pH Is Too Low?

When the pH falls too low, pool water becomes increasingly acidic.

Low pH can contribute to:

• Corrosion of metal components
• Damage to pool equipment
• Etching of concrete and grout
• Damage to some pool surfaces and liners
• Eye and skin discomfort
• Unstable overall water chemistry

BioGuard Balance Pak 200 raises the pH to help restore the water to the correct range.

What Should Pool pH Be?

BioGuard recommends maintaining pool pH at approximately 7.2–7.6.

If your pH is below the recommended range, Balance Pak 200 can be used to raise it.

Always test your pool water before adding chemicals.

Check Total Alkalinity First

Total Alkalinity helps stabilise pH.

If Total Alkalinity is too low, your pH may continue to fluctuate even after adjustment.

If both readings are low:

Low Total Alkalinity → BioGuard Balance Pak 100
Low pH → BioGuard Balance Pak 200

Correct the alkalinity first, retest the water, then adjust the pH if required.

What If My pH Is Too High?

Balance Pak 200 is designed to raise pH.

If your pool pH is already too high, do not add Balance Pak 200.

For high pH or high Total Alkalinity, use an appropriate pH-reducing product such as BioGuard Lo'N'Slo according to your water-test result.

What's in Balance Pak 200?

BioGuard Balance Pak 200 contains:

1000g/kg sodium carbonate (dense soda ash).

It is specifically formulated for increasing swimming pool pH.

How Much Should I Add?

The amount required depends on:

• Pool volume
• Current pH
• Total Alkalinity
• Desired pH increase

Always follow the dosage instructions on the product label and make controlled adjustments rather than attempting a large correction at once.

Retest the water before making further adjustments.
